Hannah Storm Returns To ESPN After Grill Fire Mishap

On December 11, 2012 ESPN's anchor and reporter Hannah Storm was injured by a flash fire while attending to an outdoor grill at her home here in Connecticut in which she was burned on her upper body, hands and head.

Today Storm returns to the airwaves as she will be hosting the 2013 Rose Parade in Pasadena, CA on ABC-TV.

The accident occurred according to the AP/CBS Sports when she noticed the flame had gone out on the grill which she turned off, and then when she turned it back on there was a fire flash with enough force to blow off the grill doors.

Storm was taken to the Trauma and Burn Center at the Westchester Medical Center in Valhalla, New York where she underwent treatment for second and first-degree burns.

She also hopes to return to her duties at ESPN here in Bristol, CT this coming Sunday hosting SportsCenter.

Storm is married to NBC Sports broadcaster Dan Hicks and the couple have three daughters.
